Kortreist Ved needed to replace an outdated Angular system with a scalable multi-vendor marketplace to expand beyond Norway. The critical challenge was solving complex logistics for carriers to minimize CO2 while integrating a B2B SaaS platform for vendors and digitizing volunteer sales groups.
Challenge
Three systems. One answer.
The client faced a significant logistical bottleneck: how to efficiently connect vendors, orders, and carriers while minimizing delivery costs and environmental impact. Their existing platform, built on an aging Angular environment, could not support the complex business logic required for a modern multi-vendor architecture. Furthermore, they needed to digitize “Dugnad”—a popular volunteer movement—integrating these groups as sales agents without disrupting their traditional workflows. How could they orchestrate logistics, B2B SaaS needs, and consumer retail in one unified system?
Solution
We engineered a comprehensive, scalable platform using a modern stack to optimize interactions between admins, carriers, vendors, and customers.
Technology Stack:
We utilized React JS for a responsive frontend and Laravel for a robust backend, managing data via MySQL.
GreenBringer Mobile Ecosystem:
We developed the GreenBringer mobile app using Flutter for both iOS and Android. Connected directly to the Kortreist platform, the app serves as a logistical tool.
Logistics Algorithm:
We developed a custom logic engine that consolidates multiple orders into single shipments based on vendor/customer location and vehicle volume capacity, directly optimizing delivery routes.
SaaS Architecture:
Beyond the marketplace, we built a dedicated SaaS platform giving vendors personal landing pages and marketing tools.
Agile Delivery:
Utilizing SCRUM with two-week sprints, we delivered a complete platform overhaul within 12 months, including distinct sub-sites for retail, upsell, and marketing.
